Our club meetings are held at the Friendship Hall of Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church, 143 Chota Ctr., Loudon (Tellico Village) on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month. Quarterly Commodity Food Distribution
Once eachquarter, Kiwanis helps coordinate with the Mid-East government organization forthe receipt, packing, and delivery ofsurplus government commodities to residents in Lenoir City. Kiwanis Members meet at the War Memorial Buildinglocated at 101 N B Street in Lenoir City. Volunteer Packers should arrive by 9:00 a.m. to receive and pack thefood received from USDA. DeliveryVolunteers should arrive by 10:00a.m.
Those receiving food are primarily low-income elderly or disabledindividuals unable to pick up the food themselves. Recipients are qualifiedfor the distributions through Mid-East.
