The Kiwanis Club of Tellico Village was the first service organization to be recognized in Tellico Village.
On March 16, 1999 the Kentucky-Tennessee District of Kiwanis International chartered the Kiwanis Club of Tellico Village sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Sweetwater. The Club became part of Division 4 of the Kentucky-Tennessee District.
Our members are from all walks of life. Their diversity and dedication are the fabric of our organization. They are committed to the following the Kiwanis Mission: “Serving the children of the world. To make a difference in the lives of children. One child and one community at a time.”
We have sponsored three new Kiwanis clubs. We organized and continue to sponsor a Key Club at Loudon High School, Loudon, TN
The Kiwanis Club of Tellico Village has succeeded in attaining the Distinguished Club Award every year of its existence. It boasts having many Kiwanis International Hixon Fellows, Distinguished Presidents, Lieutenant Governors, and one District Governor.
We are established as a “can do” club whose energies, considerable talents, and experience base are dedicated to serving, with pride, the young people and the general community, as well as to promoting overall Kiwanis International objectives.
Kiwanis of Tellico Village has close to 50 projects. Projects chosen to help children through all phases of their lives. Projects that also include our seniors and veterans. Donations from our membership, community, corporate sponsors, fundraisers and private donations make it possible for us to continue these projects. Our fundraisers include the Annual Golf Tournament, Spring and Fall Pancake Breakfasts and Car Wash.
We meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month at Little Italy Italian Restaurant in Tellico Village from 11:30-1:00 p.m. Lunch is served. We normally have a Guest Speaker. The meetings are open to all.
If you would like to join us for a free lunch, simply send us an email: [email protected]

With only 24 days until Christmas, the Kiwanis Elves are ready and willing to give Santa Claus a helping hand. Monday, December 4th through Tuesday, December 12th, our merry group of elves can be found wrapping Christmas presents at the Lenoir City Family Resource Center. The gifts will be distributed by FRC to disadvantaged families, bringing smiles of happiness to many over the holidays. On Tuesday, December 5th, the elves will be coordinating with the Mid-East government organization for the receipt, packing, and delivery of surplus government commodities to residents in Lenoir City. Those receiving food are primarily low-income elderly or handicapped individuals unable to pick up the food themselves. Recipients are qualified for the distribution through Mid-East. Tuesday, December 12th , our Lady Elves will host the monthly tea at the assisted living facility in Tellico Village. Celebrating the holidays will be the theme. The tea provides an opportunity for our Kiwanis ladies to socialize with many of the women who reside at The Neighborhood. The Kiwanis gals bring sweets, and bake goodies. The hot tea is served in beautiful bone china cups, complete with saucers. The residents enjoy being pampered and everyone has a delightful time. What a Wonderful Time of the Year!! ... On Nov. 7th, we had the pleasure of Loudon High School Key Club President Lucy, Vice President Aidan and Key Club Advisor Sarah Kile speak at our club meeting. Lucy and Aidan were incredibly excited to share the Key Club’s accomplishments and current activities. Their enthusiasm was genuine. In 2023 this incredible group of young adults has: Volunteered at the Kiwanis Club’s 2 Pancake Breakfasts, Annual Golf Tournament and Car Wash. Made blankets and delivered them to senior seniors. Aidan happened to mention that some of our members could be recipients next year! Spent hours reading to elementary school children. Created “Freshmen Survival Kits” for the new freshmen. The small backpacks were filled with lanyards, pencils, supplies and a personalized welcome note from a Key Club member. Stuffed hundreds of plastic Easter Eggs with candy and small trinkets for the Friends of Tennessee Babies with Disabilities Annual Easter Egg Hunt. Attended the International Summer Leadership Convention in Anaheim, CA. There they met Key Club members from all over the country and outside the US. They attended caucuses, learned about service projects and club planning. Held a bake sale to raise funds. Our Kiwanis gals helped by baking cookies, brownies, rice crispy treats etc. “Adopting a Family” this Christmas Season. Shopping, wrapping, and delivering presents to bring joy and happiness to a deserving family. Involved in putting together “Advent Boxes.” The idea is based on the Advent Calendar. But on a larger scale. Some of the items being collected include boxes of cereal, stuffing mix, mac and cheese, rice, oatmeal, pasta, crackers, soups, canned spaghetti sauce, sweet potatoes, applesauce, beans, cranberry sauce, mixed vegetables, fruit and more. The Key Club plans on distributing the Advent Boxes to needy families about December 10th. These Advent Boxes will surely make the holiday season so much brighter for those who are underprivileged. Thank you Sarah Kile for mentoring and leading by example. Our President, Kevin Meyer, and Key Club Coordinator, presented a $1,000. Check to Lucy, Aidan, and Sarah Kile at our meeting.
