Our October 7, 2025 meeting was a joyous occasion as we came together to celebrate the achievements and transitions within our organization. We took a moment to applaud our outgoing President, Katey Bailey, whose outstanding guidance and leadership have left a lasting impact. Her vision and dedication have been instrumental in steering us forward. We expressed our gratitude to our members, whose unwavering commitment and dedication throughout the past year have been truly inspiring. In a seamless transition, we welcomed our new slate of officers, who were installed by the outgoing Division 4 Lieutenant Governor, Roger Robinson. His presence and support added a special touch to the event. With new leadership at the helm, we look forward to another year of, “Making a difference in the lives of children. One child and one community at a time.”

Our Kiwanis Club coordinates with the Second Harvest FoodBank, Maryville, TN to deliver surplus government commodities to the residentsat the Spring Place Apartment Complex in Lenoir City quarterly. Kiwanis memberswill meet at the Community Room of Spring Place Apartments, 304 Locust St, Lenoir City. Our volunteer packersstart at 9:00 am to pack the USDA food into bags. The delivery volunteers begindeliveries at 10:00 am. It is heartening to know that the qualified residentsare low-income elderly or disabled individuals unable to pick up the foodthemselves. This effort certainly has a significant positive impact on theirlives.

Our club has been asked to participate in welcoming students to Loudon Elementary School on the
morning of September 24, 2025.
Our involvement will surely help the children to feel welcomed and appreciated. Kiwanians will need to first sign in at the office. You’ll then be ready to greet the students as they begin arriving at 7:00 am. offering a simple, warm greeting like “Good morning. Happy you are here,” along with a friendly smile, can significantly ease any anxieties the children might have as they start their day. It's a small gesture that can make a significant
difference, helping to create a nurturing and supportive school environment.

The Tellico Village Kiwanians wrapped up September with unwavering energy, determination, and commitment, mirroring the enthusiasm they exhibited at the start of the month. They engaged in various community service initiatives, demonstrating a steadfast dedication to making a positive impact. Their consistent passion and drive not only inspire fellow members but also encourages the broader community to get involved in service-oriented activities.
As we transition into October, our members remain committed to their mission, “To make a difference in the lives of children. One child and one community at a time.”
