Amtryke Therapeutic Tricycle Project

This program brings the schoollibrary to the kindergarten classesat Lenoir City Elementary School. Once a week, on Thursdays duringthe school year, a cart stocked withlibrary books is placed outside each classroom door (one cart for eachclassroom). Each member is assigned to a cart, serving as the “librarian.”Prior to the school start each childis permitted to search for a book, take the library card out of the pocket andhand it to the member who then records name and date of the child.The child’s teacherwill them providea folder to      take home. The foldercontains suggestions for theparent as they read the book to their child.Volunteers spend approximately one hour of their time, from 7:30 a.m. – 8:30a.m.
